Can I tan after having done VeinGogh?

I have been doing VeinGogh treatments but it takes a while for the redness/scabs to go away. With the summer coming, I would like to start tanning. How long do I need to wait before I can do it? Also, which creams/gel do you recommend using after the procedure to speed up the recovery stage?

It is best to wait a while before tanning, in the event that you would need more treatments.

In my experience, it is best to wait 6 weeks. But if you tan sooner, you may be OK.

First, we always advise against tanning as there is an increased risk for cancer, skin damage, and premature aging. We recommend high quality, zinc-containing products. We would definitely advise against tanning until complete healing of the areas. Anytime you disrupt the skin, the melanin cells can be more prone to developing hyperpigmentation (increased color). We use Dermaka or Arnica cream for healing post-treatment, and it should be applied until the treated area is completely healed.

Since it is radiofrequency and not laser, you can sun tan before or after. Due to the micro scabs, especially if on the face, I recommend to exercise caution.

VeinGogh -1 answer
The treatment was 6 weeks ago. The treated areas have indentations and shallow pits that are red in color. The setting used was clearly too high and I am now scarred. Also, the veins have returned and look worse than before treatment. I am at a loss as to what to do next.

I have had 11 combination treatments of sclerotherapy and Vein Gogh over 15 months. Right leg has numerous clusters of veins on the upper inside thigh, inner knee and back of the knee, along with lower leg and ankle. Some have lightened or improved somewhat but the majority are still present. I am getting impatient as most doctor's say 5-6 treatments will yield the disappearance of these veins. I have brown staining that is still with me after 6 months as well. FYI, I am still treating.
