Vascular Ultrasound in Las Vegas, Nevada (NV)

A vascular ultrasound (duplex scan) is non-invasive imaging technique used to analyze blood flow through your veins.

How does a vascular ultrasound work?

Ultrasound technology does not use dye or radiation, much unlike other imaging technology. During the procedure, radio frequency waves permeate your tissues in the area on your body that is targeted. The waves bounce off of the blood cells within your veins, and return to the ultrasound machine.

The sound waves are recorded and displayed on a computer screen to make a live image, which is used as a guide map for procedures such as sclerotherapy and radiofrequency ablation.
