Services Offered

VNUS Closure™ We are pleased to announce that our practice offers the VNUS Closure™ procedure for treatment of patients with venous insufficiency and varicose veins. This office procedure accomplishes, in a minimally invasive and "patient friendly" fashion, what vein stripping once achieved. It requires only local anesthesia and takes about two hours. Patients can normally resume their usual activity the following day.

Varicose veins are often thought of as a cosmetic condition; in fact, they are only one manifestation of a condition that progressively damages the valves of the saphenous vein and leads to ambulatory venous hypertension. The procedure is covered by most insurances.

Other common symptoms include:

- Burning or itching of the skin
- Aching, tired or weak legs, especially after long periods of standing or sitting
- Restless leg syndrome
- Color and texture changes of the skin
- Lower leg swelling
- Skin ulcers

The VNUS Closure™ procedure has been used to treat over 500, 000 patients. A recent trial showed a 95% success rate at two year follow up. Patients treated with the Closure procedure had significantly less pain and bruising and fewer adverse events than patients treated by laser ablation. Varicose Veins Did you know, varicose veins can form anywhere between your thigh and ankle? They can appear as flat veins that appear darker or purplish in color or they can be bulging and twisted. Sometimes they are painless, however, they can cause symptoms such as:
  • Restless leg syndrome
  • Achiness/heaviness in the legs
  • Burning, throbbing, muscle cramping
  • Worsened pain after sitting or standing for long periods of time
  • Itching
  • Skin ulcerations
We can fix your legs! NCTV offers on-site radiofrequency ablation. You can return to your normal activity the next day and this is covered by most health insurances! "We are pleased to meet you and your family and hope we can help. Don't hesitate to ask us any questions you may have. Our office is our "home away from home"; you are always welcome and we hope you feel comfortable with your visits."
