Should I wear thigh high compression while doing hight intensity effort?

I have distended veins in my lower leg from a dvt, post acl tear. Veins are pretty large with valve damage, which has led to some superficial clotting. I mountain bike, so my heart rate can be through the roof. I'm wondering if I should be wearing the tight compression while doing such long term effort? I feel like since hr is so elevated, veins shouldn't have a hard time pumping back up to heart, and compression could contribute to slow flow in superficial area, leading to clotting. Any advice?

As a former heart surgeon, I can tell you that you are not thinking properly about this as it has nothing to do with heart rate.

If you have venous congestion or venous claudication, you MUST wear stockings to prevent blood pooling.

Very few know the age old physiologic dictum about the heart : vis-a-tergo. I recommend reading about it.
