The vein could have failed to close, or you could have a residual clot or inflammation that needs treating.

I don't know, but it does not seem right. I would get another opinion and ultrasound.

Hard to say what the problem could be. It could be related to your Venefit procedure, or it could be unrelated. The most common cause of thigh pain are strained muscles, hip joint issues, or sciatica. I would follow up with your doctors to get to the bottom of this.

It is difficult to say without getting a Duplex venous scan. This will exclude a deep vein blood clot and diagnose superficial vein thrombophlebitis. If both are negative, the vein doctor who did the procedure should examine you and determine what the nature of the pain and discomfort is from.

I had the Venefit procedure four weeks ago for varicose veins (saphenous vein). My CEAP score was 2. I am still feeling soreness on the inner thigh. It has improved, but the soreness is still there. The vascular surgeon did an ultrasound 8 days after the procedure and there was no DVT. Will this soreness ever go away? I never had leg discomfort before the procedure unless I was standing for long periods of time. Now my leg is sore all the time. Surgeon said it will go away. When?

One leg had a very small vein. After a closure and 2 stents, I have nerve pain, new veins, abdominal pain, and can't stand up/walk upright. The closure was 11 months ago; 7 months with swelling and pain in shins. The nurses treated me and last saw the doc 5 months ago. I feel betrayed that he told me new veins "happen" and I would have to pay for cosmetic treatment. I am worse off, tired and believe the 2 stents were unnecessary for a "valve" problem in one leg. I was not shown the US either.
