I developed necrosis after my most recent Asclera treatment for spider veins. Should I go the ER, or can I wait to see my doctor?

I've had several spider vein treatments using Asclera foam. After my last treatment January 18, 2019, a small, purple, blood-filled ball appeared over my left shin, at the injection site. Now, I have necrosis about 1/2 inch in diameter. It is very painful. Is it safe to wait until the appointment I have with a doctor tomorrow?

This is something that will take time to heal. It can be caused by several things, such as AV fistulas, injecting into the surrounding tissue, etc. We see very little of these ulcers. We'd recommend Silvadene cream, wash with soap and water 2x day firmly to remove any buildup of tissue. It will have to heal from below.

You can certainly wait 24 hours to see the doctor. In the interim, apply a topical antibacterial ointment to the area with a covering.

I had Asclera done 13 days ago, but it wasn't until 4 days ago that I noticed a vein on the back of my right calf had started to bruise longitudinally. A day later I noticed a red, hard, painful lump. I was told my lesser saphenous vein is clotted. Is this normal?
