Without seeing your wound, it is difficult to say. You should have had a small incision at the access point which would heal very quickly. It may be possible you have had some of the solution accidentally leak into the area which can cause ulceration. These can take a long time and are not considered normal. You really should seek a second opinion from a board certified vascular trained surgeon who specializes in these procedures. This will include ultrasound evaluation. He/she will be better able to advise and treat you. Everything you mention is unusual.
