Can I get pregnant after a venous embolization?

My wife has pelvic congestion syndrome and we were told that embolization is indicated. If she goes through with the procedure would she still be able to get pregnant?

Most likely she'll be able to get pregnant after the embolization. However, this is something she should really take up with her doctor.

Treatment for pelvic congestion syndrome via embolization does not preclude her from getting pregnant again. However, there are many factors involved in getting pregnant. But remember: this forum is not one for infertility or fertility issues. There are vein doctors here who specialize in PCS. Your question is an OB/GYN question and should be directed to the obstetrician and doctor who is doing the embolization BEFORE she undergoes the embolization procedure. I am merely answering the question based on the aggregate of patients who get embolization procedures. Patients who get PCS are usually multiparous, meaning that they have had several children already, they are in their 40's already, etc. So, the studies may not reflect this particular question that you are asking.
