The American Board of Phlebology Opens Exam Cycle for 2011, Welcomes 2010 Class of Diplomates

Reston, VA, October, 2010 – The American Board of Phlebology opens their fourth phlebology exam cycle beginning October 1, 2010.

Applications will be accepted between October 1 and February 11, 2011, and all are to be submitted online at http://www.abph.net/application/default.asp. The computer-based exam will be administered electronically between April 16 and April 23, 2011. Over 400 Pearson Vue testing centers will offer the test in the United States and Canada during those dates.

To become an ABPh diplomate, an applicant must complete the requisite training or experience qualifications, meet the continuing medical education requisites, and pass a stringent certification examination. The initial certification period is ten years.

We are proud to welcome the newest class of ABPh diplomates, who successfully completed the examination this past April. There are now 475 ABPh-certified diplomates throughout the United States and Canada. Our newest diplomats will be formally welcomed by ABPh at a recognition ceremony during the American College of Phlebology Annual Congress, to be held in Orlando, FL from November 4-7, 2010.

More information, a content outline and a directory of certified diplomates may be found by visiting the Board’s web site, http://www.americanboardofphlebology.org.
